Deja was founded in 1999 by a diverse group of women who shared singing as one amongst many of their interests and passions. our members maintain strong involvement in other campus activities and approach a cappella with the same drive. as our group evolves each year with the addition of new members and the sad departure of the old, Deja has strived to maintain this.

from near to far, we have performed on our very own Duke campus, in and around durham, traveled up and down the east coast, performed at private parties, a cappella competitions and frequently with other college groups, forming strong friendships along the way.

Deja’s new album FORGET ME NOT was just ranked in the top ten FEMALE COLLEGIATE A CAPPELLA albums by the Contemporary A Cappella Society (CASA)!!
